Welcome to OffBid. By installing, accessing, or using our mobile apps or website (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1) Eligibility

• You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (typically 18+).
• Use is for lawful purposes only. You are responsible for compliance with local laws.

2) Accounts and Security

• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Keep your credentials secure; do not share one-time passwords (OTPs) or verification codes.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
• We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

3) The Marketplace & User-to-User Transactions

• Users may post Needs (buy requests) and Deals (sell offers). All content must be accurate, non-misleading, and lawful.
• OffBid is not a party to transactions between users. We do not handle payments, delivery, or quality assurance. We do not verify users or items unless expressly stated.
• Any exchange of money or goods occurs outside OffBid at your own discretion and risk.
• We may, at our discretion, remove or limit content that we reasonably believe violates policy or law.

4) Fast Tag Promotion

• Fast Tag is an optional, paid, promotional highlight for a single post. It provides a badge and enables buyers to filter to Fast Tag posts.
• Fast Tag does not guarantee results and does not include paid placement beyond the visual highlight and filter.
• Payments are processed by Apple/Google; their billing terms and refund processes apply.

5) Prohibited Items & Conduct

Posting, soliciting, or facilitating illegal or unsafe items or activities is prohibited (see “Prohibited Items and Conduct” below). Harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, explicit sexual content, and scams are strictly prohibited. We may report unlawful activity to authorities.

6) Intellectual Property

• You may post only content you own or are authorized to share. You grant OffBid a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content to operate the Service.
• We respond to properly formatted IP complaints (see “Intellectual Property and DMCA”).

7) Disclaimers; Limitation of Liability

• The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, OffBid and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for losses arising from user conduct, third-party services, or force majeure.
• Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; those limitations apply to the extent permitted.

8) Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OffBid and its affiliates from claims or losses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

9) Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10) Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the publisher of OffBid is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that venue will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless consumer protection law provides otherwise.

Community Guidelines & Terms of Use

• Accuracy: Post only truthful titles, prices, and descriptions. No bait-and-switch.
• Fair use: Do not game rankings, abuse reports, or spam other users.
• Respect IP: No counterfeit, pirated, or unlicensed goods.
• Disputes: Try to resolve directly. Use in-app Report for serious misconduct. OffBid does not mediate payments or delivery disputes.
• Enforcement: We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts to maintain safety and compliance.

Fast Tag — what it is, how it works, and what you get

Purpose

Fast Tag is a small, optional, one-time promotional purchase that highlights your post to improve visibility and responses. It does not affect search results for other users beyond an added visual highlight and a simple filter users can toggle.

What Fast Tag changes in the app

• Your post gets a distinctive Fast Tag badge and subtle emphasis in lists.
• Buyers can toggle a Fast Tag-only filter to browse promoted posts quickly.
• No algorithmic boosting beyond the above; Fast Tag is strictly a highlight and filter.

Price and availability

Pricing is displayed in-app and set by the store for your region and currency. We may run limited promotions or adjust prices based on platform policies or taxes.

What Fast Tag does not do

• Does not guarantee replies, sales, or any commercial outcome.
• Does not alter chat priority or send mass messages.
• Does not extend beyond the single post you apply it to.

Payments and refunds

• Fast Tag purchases are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play billing. Your payment is with the store, not OffBid directly.
• For refunds, please use your store’s Report a Problem / refund channels. We follow the platform’s final decision.
• We do not collect or store card or bank details in the app.

Data we store about a Fast Tag

• A record that your post has an active Fast Tag (and non-sensitive purchase metadata required to operate the feature).
• No full card numbers or banking credentials are ever collected by us.

If you are an organization using OffBid to advertise inventory, ensure you comply with all local advertising, consumer protection, and disclosure laws.

Prohibited Items and Conduct

Items (non-exhaustive): illegal drugs, weapons, explosives, stolen property, counterfeit goods, human trafficking or services that exploit others, explicit sexual content, endangered species, medical or prescription drugs without authorization, and anything prohibited by law.

Conduct: harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, spam, scams, fraud, data scraping, reverse engineering, or attempts to bypass safety controls.

We may remove posts, restrict features, or terminate accounts at our discretion to keep the community safe.

User-Generated Content & Moderation

Content on OffBid is posted by users. We use a combination of user reports, automated checks, and manual review to address abuse. Repeated or severe violations can lead to content removal, feature limits, or account termination.

Intellectual Property & Takedowns

Respect creators. Only post content you own or have rights to share.

If you believe your rights are infringed, email support@offbid.app with:

• Links to the content on OffBid
• Proof of ownership or authorization
• Your name, contact information, and a statement under penalty of perjury that your claim is accurate

Cookies, Local Storage & Tracking

We use essential app storage and limited analytics to keep OffBid working:

• Session and authentication tokens
• Preferences (theme, locale)
• Performance metrics and crash diagnostics
• Abuse prevention signals (e.g., rate limiting)

You can manage tracking/notification permissions at the OS level. Disabling some permissions may reduce functionality.

Data Retention

• Account & posts: kept while your account is active; some data may persist for a reasonable period after deletion for safety and legal reasons.
• Push tokens: retained while you want notifications or until the token expires or you revoke permissions.
• Backups: encrypted backups roll over on a schedule.

Pricing & Availability (App Listing Note)

OffBid is free to download. Optional in-app purchase: Fast Tag (single-post promotion). Availability and price tiers may vary by country/region per App Store/Play Store policies and taxes.

Changes to This Page

We update these documents as our features or legal requirements change. We’ll refresh the “Last updated” date and may notify you in-app for material updates.

Security & Responsible Disclosure

We take security seriously. If you discover a vulnerability, please contact support@offbid.app with details. Do not publicly disclose before we’ve had a reasonable chance to investigate.

This Privacy Policy describes how OffBid (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our apps and website.

Information we collect

• Account & Profile: Email, name, profile photo, country/city selection, and any profile text you add.
• Authentication: If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic identifiers (e.g., name, email, provider ID) per the provider’s permissions.
• Content: Posts (Needs/Deals), titles, descriptions, categories, tags, images you upload, and Fast Tag status for a post.
• Messaging: Chat content and attachments you send through the app.
• Device & technical: App version, device model, OS version, language/locale, time zone, IP address, and diagnostic logs (for performance and fraud prevention).
• Approximate location: Country/state/city you choose or allow; we do not require precise GPS. You may disable location permissions at any time.
• Notifications: Push notification tokens (e.g., Expo/FCM/APNs tokens) to deliver alerts. These tokens are stored with flags such as your notification preferences (e.g., chat, posts, general).
• Payments (Fast Tag only): We receive non-sensitive purchase metadata from Apple/Google to validate Fast Tag for your post. We do not collect card or bank numbers.
• Analytics: Aggregated or anonymized usage analytics to understand feature health and abuse trends.

How we use information

• Provide core features (profiles, posting, chat, search, notifications).
• Operate Fast Tag (apply highlight/filter to the purchased post, keep a record of the promotion).
• Safety and moderation (detect spam/scams, enforce policies, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations).
• Improve stability and performance (diagnostics, crash information, device compatibility).
• Communicate with you about updates, policy changes, or service messages.

Sharing of information

• Service providers / processors: We use trusted vendors to host, store, and deliver features (e.g., Firebase for authentication, database, and storage; push notification providers; analytics). They are bound by contracts and process data only on our instructions.
• Platform providers: Apple/Google may receive data necessary to process Fast Tag purchases and deliver push notifications, subject to their privacy terms.
• Legal compliance & safety: We may disclose information to authorities when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users or the public.
• Business transfers: If we undergo a reorganization, merger, or acquisition, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
• Never sold: We do not sell personal information.

Data retention

• We keep personal data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
• Chat, posts, and logs may be retained for a reasonable period for safety, dispute handling, and legal compliance.
• Backups may persist for a limited time before being overwritten.

Your choices & rights

• Access, update, or delete certain information in the app (e.g., profile, posts). You may request account deletion via support@offbid.app.
• Control device permissions (location, notifications, camera/photos). Disabling some permissions may limit features.
• Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR/CCPA), you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection/restriction). Contact us to exercise these rights.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method is 100% secure—keep your device and credentials safe and report suspicious activity.

Children

OffBid is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of majority.

International transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than yours. We take steps consistent with applicable law to protect your information when it is transferred.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will adjust the “Last updated” date and may notify you in-app if changes are material.

Before you chat

• Assume anyone you meet online could be a stranger. Share only what’s necessary to evaluate a deal.
• Never share OTPs, full IDs, card numbers, CVV, bank PINs, or one-time links.

During a chat

• Watch for red flags: pressure to act fast, requests for advance payment, off-platform payment links, or implausible prices.
• Verify the person and the item before paying. Prefer safe, well-lit public meetups when possible.
• Use trusted payment methods (outside OffBid) at your discretion. Keep receipts and conversation records.
• You are responsible for your own due diligence. OffBid does not mediate transactions.

Reporting and blocking

• Use the in-app Report option for scams, illegal items, or abusive behavior.
• We may limit or remove content and accounts that violate our policies.

If you believe you are in immediate danger or have suffered fraud, contact your local authorities.

Business Profiles (“Business Card”)

Purpose of Business Card

The Business Card feature allows users to share professional or personal contact details (such as WhatsApp, website, Instagram, Facebook) in a structured format. This provides a safe and consistent way to connect with buyers or sellers without having to send scattered personal information in chats.

Why we use Business Card

• To keep your communication professional, organized, and easy to read.
• To give you control over what details you want to share with others.
• To reduce risks by avoiding sending sensitive details directly in open chats.

Safe & Responsible Usage

• You are solely responsible for the information you include in your Business Card.
• Do not include sensitive financial data, OTPs, or confidential credentials.
• Share only details that you are comfortable making visible to other users.
• We encourage using business-related contacts (like official email or business WhatsApp) instead of personal accounts.

User Control

• Edit Before Sending: You can edit your Business Card at any time and choose which fields to include (e.g.,WhatsApp, website, Instagram, Facebook).
• Delete After Sending: You may delete your Business Card from a chat. Once deleted, it will no longer be visible to the other party, though they may have already viewed or copied the details.
• Update Anytime: You can update your Business Card if your details change.
• Optional Use: Sharing a Business Card is optional and under your full control.

Compliance & Responsibility

• Provide accurate and lawful information and disclosures required by your jurisdiction.
• Honor warranties, returns, and consumer rights where applicable.
• Post only inventory or services you are legally permitted to sell.

OffBid does not independently verify the business status or authenticity of details shared in Business Cards unless explicitly stated. Users are responsible for their own information and must exercise caution before engaging in transactions.

You can permanently delete your OffBid account anytime from within the app.

1. Open the OffBid app
2. Go to Settings → Account
3. Tap Delete Account and confirm

What gets deleted

• Profile info (name, email, display picture)
• User content (posts, chats, uploaded media)
• In-app preferences and settings

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What may be retained (limited time)

Minimal logs required for fraud prevention, abuse detection, security, or legal compliance may be retained for up to 90 days. These do not include your posts or chats.

Alternative: request via email

If you can't access the app, email support@offbid.app with subject “Delete My Account” from your registered email, including your name and registered email.

Timing & confirmation

Deletion starts immediately after confirmation. You’ll receive a confirmation email once complete.
